This is out of the norm for me as I normally don’t write about VMUG Conferences, however the South Florida VMUG Conference on April 3rd is going to be epic. Okay, maybe epic is a little over the top. The reason for my excitement is that I will be making my first speaking appearance ever. Now I have spoken in front of groups before, customers and most recently at my company kickoff in front of the entire team. However, I’ve never had the opportunity to speak in front of the community and needless to say I’m excited. Therefore, I urge you to register for the South Florida VMUG on April 3rd and come see me speak at 10:30 in room 2F. Both myself and fellow RoundTower colleague Mike Marzotto (VCDX #78) will be discussing VMware View and the components required to create a highly-scalable, highly-available View environment.
Now, it would be rude of me to not talk about the South Florida VMUG conference as a whole. Another colleague of mine, Tony Gonzalez, has worked very hard over the past few months along with the rest of the South Florida VMUG leadership team to put together an excellent conference for the community. David Davis will provide the morning keynote on the secret of a successful career in IT and the master himself Josh Atwell will be presenting during lunch on you guessed it, vCenter Orchestrator and PowerCLI. There will be 5 blocks of breakout sessions, 3 of which are partner driven and 2 of which are VMware driven. One of the VMware breakout sessions will be a VCAP test track session hosted by Josh Andrews so for those looking towards achieving VCAP, this is a must see session.
Finally, I have to tell you about the awesome stuff that will be going on at the RoundTower Technologies booth (Platinum Sponsors). Not only will we be hosting a “Ask the Expert” session with Mike Marzotto (VCDX #78) but we’ll also be hosting View, SRM and Trend Micro Deep Security 9 demos. And last but not least, we’ll be giving away some cool prizes. Please stop by our booth, say hi, watch a demo and meet the RoundTower crew. By the way, if you want your parking validated, you’ll HAVE to stop by the RoundTower booth and get your ticket stamped by one of our awesome employees!
